About
Christy is a crochet designer and crafter in the Mustang, Oklahoma area. She has a passion for community driven projects, handcrafted items and the people who make them! Christy makes lots of fun projects, but her favorite thing to make is new friends!
The purpose of Christy Makes Friends is to develop inclusive and creative communities through charitable craft activities and supportive peer groups. This is currently done through group classes, community meet-ups, and social media.
We feel the best and brightest hope for developing inclusive and creative communities comes through educating new generations on how to create and appreciate handcrafted items. Project T.O.Y. (Teaching Our Youth) works to provide crafting supplies and crafting educational materials to local libraries, schools, and youth groups.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
