Chicken Ball
This creation made me chuckle. Chicken Balls! How goofy is that?!
I created this after enjoying a similar design by the ever clever Lauren Espy of A Menagerie of Stitches (www.amenagerieofstitchesblog.com). Her designs are clean, directions are clear, and the end result was adorable! You can find her Spring Chicks pattern HERE.
After creating a few of Lauren’s Spring Chicks in a variety of spring colors, I felt like they needed a mother hen to mind them all. Although similar in shape, my Chicken Balls pattern made alternations to the wing design and beak, as well as adding the comb. It worked up so quickly, I couldn’t help but stitch up a small flock of these goofy guys! I have some ideas on how to put them to use, and will be sure to update you once those ideas are in action.
