Crochet Carrot

Hi Friends,

This was my first crochet pattern in my farmers market collection! I am so excited to finally share it with you, and just in time for the spring season. All your bouncy bunny babies will love this plush carrot, and it works great in those Easter themed photos. I love any opportunity to encourage children to love their vegetables, and playtime is a good time to start!

Pattern Notes

Gauge Swatch

Being, ch 7.

Row 1: sc into the 2nd ch from hook, sc in each remaining ch stitch. Ch 1, turn. (6 sc)

Row 2-7: sc into each st across. Ch 1, turn. (6 sc) F.O. at end of final row.

Finished Gauge Swatch 2 inches by 2 inches.

Newbie Tip –  When creating crochet plush toys, it is important to make your stitches tight enough to keep any stuffing from falling out and to help your creations retain their shape. To adjust your gauge, simply increase or decrease your tension. Tension is the tightness of your stitches. You can also adjust the tension of your stitches by using a larger or smaller hook size.
